Kate Middleton could be preparing to take another significant step in her return to royal duties, with reports suggesting she may accompany Prince William to India later this year.
According to the Mirror, the Princess of Wales is expected to join her husband in Mumbai for the 2026 Earthshot Prize ceremony in November. Kensington Palace has not yet confirmed the reported plans.
If Kate attends, it will be her first appearance at an Earthshot Prize ceremony since 2022, when she joined William in Boston for the event’s inaugural US edition.
The princess missed subsequent ceremonies after stepping away from public duties following her cancer diagnosis in 2024. She announced in 2025 that she was in remission and has since made a gradual return to royal engagements.
Her visit to Italy in May was seen as another important milestone, marking her return to overseas royal duties.
India would also hold special significance for William and Kate, who previously toured the country together in 2016.
Earlier this year, the Prince of Wales announced that Mumbai would host the sixth Earthshot Prize ceremony in November.
