The Princess of Wales is reportedly more concerned about her father-in-law’s health and his strained relationship with Prince William.
Kate Middleton’s biggest concern within the Royal Family has reportedly shifted from Prince Harry to King Charles.
The Princess of Wales was once said to be deeply troubled by the breakdown of Prince William’s relationship with his younger brother. However, an insider now claims she is increasingly worried about the alleged tension between William and his father, particularly as the King continues his cancer battle.
“It used to be the horrible state of things between William and his brother that kept her up at night worrying, but now she’s even more distressed by the growing animosity between William and his father,” a source told New Idea.
The insider claimed the apparent rift has become a major subject of discussion behind palace walls.
“It’s become one of the main topics of conversation around the palace, and everyone can see the divide widening,” the source alleged.
Kate is reportedly trying to support both men without appearing to take sides. Although she respects her husband’s position and would never want to undermine him, she is also said to share a loving relationship with Charles.
“She isn’t going to disrespect or undermine William, but at the same time, Charles is her father-in-law, whom she loves dearly,” the insider said.
With the King’s health still a concern, Kate is reportedly urging William to be more understanding.
“Given the fragility of his health, she worries about him too. She keeps encouraging William to go easy on him,” the source added.
