King Charles is reportedly urging Prince William and Kate Middleton to take part in crucial family talks as speculation grows about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle spending more time in the UK.
Sources cited by Closer claim the monarch wants the Prince and Princess of Wales to sit down with him in Scotland and discuss what a future relationship with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could look like.
Harry and Meghan have also reportedly been invited to join the meeting.
“There needs to be a plan. The King knows Harry isn’t going to disappear, so they must work out how the Sussexes fit into the picture without reopening old wounds,” an insider told the outlet.
The source suggested that Harry’s return could become a major test for William and Kate, particularly if the Duke continued to receive a warm welcome from both the British public and his father.
According to the report, the Waleses could find themselves defending a family feud that many people no longer understand. While there may be growing pressure to move forward, repairing the damaged relationship is unlikely to be easy after years of public accusations and personal disagreements.
“They must find a way to move on, but after everything that’s happened, that’s easier said than done,” the insider added.
For years, Harry and Meghan were reportedly seen as the main source of tension within the Royal Family. However, Charles is now said to be increasingly frustrated with William and Kate, believing their reluctance to engage with the Sussexes is preventing any meaningful reconciliation.
The report claims the King feels the Prince and Princess of Wales have become an obstacle in his efforts to resolve the family crisis.
Charles is now said to be pushing for a face-to-face meeting at Balmoral in the hope of breaking the deadlock and finding a workable path forward for all four royals.
