Kate Middleton is reportedly reluctant to support King Charles’ efforts to rebuild ties with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, fearing their return could disrupt the stability she has worked hard to restore following her cancer treatment.
According to Woman’s Day, the Princess of Wales believes “the royal family is being hijacked” and remains firmly opposed to welcoming the Duke and Duchess of Sussex back into the royal fold.
“She and William don’t want to see Meghan and Harry welcomed back,” a source claimed. “They see them as troublemakers and people who can’t be trusted.”
The insider added that Kate has spent the past few years trying to create a calm environment for her family, particularly after a difficult period marked by royal tensions and her health struggles.
“Kate’s worked incredibly hard to rebuild a sense of calm around her family,” the source said. “The thought of reopening old chapters is naturally emotional. She just wants this firmly behind her.”
King Charles, however, is said to be taking a different approach. The monarch reportedly hopes to keep communication open with Harry and Meghan while also reconnecting with his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, who have spent most of their lives in the United States.
“Charles is trying to keep the lines of communication open with Harry and Meghan, but Kate is far more cautious,” the insider concluded.
The claims suggest a growing difference in how senior royals believe the family should handle its strained relationship with the Sussexes. While Charles may favor reconciliation, Kate reportedly remains focused on protecting her family’s peace and avoiding another painful chapter.
