Meghan Markle is closing in on a new social media milestone after returning to Instagram in 2025.
The Duchess of Sussex has now passed 4.7 million followers on the platform, putting her within reach of the five-million mark. Since relaunching her account, Meghan has attracted a number of high-profile followers, including Kris Jenner, Zoe Saldaña, Oprah Winfrey, Katy Perry and Lauren Sánchez Bezos.
Meghan has used Instagram to share glimpses of her life in California, as well as promote projects connected to her lifestyle brand, As Ever.
A look at her following list shows that Meghan only follows the official As Ever account, despite being followed by several celebrities. She has built her audience through a little over 100 posts.
Her account often includes photos and videos featuring Prince Harry and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, especially around birthdays and family occasions. However, Meghan has continued to protect the children’s privacy by avoiding clear images of their faces.
Harry and Meghan moved to California after stepping down as working members of the Royal Family in 2020. Since then, they have built their lives and business ventures in the United States, while maintaining a strong public profile.
