Meghan Markle is said to feel vindicated by reports suggesting Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, are opposed to King Charles strengthening his relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan.
Recent reports have claimed that William does not object to Charles having a private relationship with Harry, Meghan and their children. However, he is reportedly against including the Sussexes in wider family occasions.
The issue has gained fresh attention following claims that Harry and Meghan could be invited to Balmoral in September, though this has not been confirmed by Buckingham Palace.
A source told Closer Online that Meghan sees the reported resistance from William and Catherine as proof that she and Harry were unfairly blamed for the breakdown in family relations.
“For Meghan, the way William and Kate are behaving just proves that she and Harry were never the problem,” the insider claimed.
The source further alleged that Meghan believes the Sussexes were singled out and mistreated by members of the royal household, with William and Catherine playing a role in shaping negative views of them.
They also claimed Meghan gives Harry credit for finding a path back to communication with his father despite the hostility she believes the couple has faced. The source said she also appreciates Charles’ willingness to pursue a relationship with his son and grandchildren.
According to the insider, Meghan believes the changing dynamic is particularly difficult for William and Catherine, who she feels had previously held the stronger position within the family.
