Palace shares details of King Charles’ latest engagements in Scotland

King Charles received a warm welcome in Scotland as crowds gathered to catch a glimpse of the monarch during his latest visit.

Buckingham Palace has shared details of the King’s engagements in Dingwall, in the Scottish Highlands, where the town is marking 800 years since being granted Royal Burgh status.

During the visit, Charles met volunteers, community organisations, young people and representatives from the emergency services, with the Palace highlighting their contribution to the town’s strong community spirit.

The King also presented the King’s Award for Voluntary Service to representatives of Evanton Wood Community Company and Highland and Island Blood Bikes in recognition of their work supporting local communities.

As part of the celebrations, Charles watched performances by local music groups and Highland dancers.

The visit attracted a large turnout, with royal fans lining up to welcome the monarch.

Buckingham Palace later thanked those who came out to see him, writing on behalf of the King: “Thank you to everyone who came to say hello!”
