Prince Harry appears noticeably happier whenever he returns to the UK, according to royal expert Roya Nikkhah.
The Duke of Sussex stepped back from royal duties in 2020 before moving to the United States with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their son, Prince Archie. Despite building a new life in California, Harry is said to display a different side of himself when he is back in Britain.
Speaking on The Royals with Roya and Kate podcast, Nikkhah reflected on Harry’s mood during his recent visits to his homeland.
“He looked much happier, as you touched on earlier, every time he came back,” she said.
The royal editor acknowledged that Harry may still face difficult moments but said he often renews his confidence and appears in good spirits while carrying out his commitments.
“However difficult things get for him, when he is back on home soil these days, he just does look a lot happier,” Nikkhah added.
Harry and Meghan left their roles as senior working royals in 2020 and later spoke publicly about their experiences within the Royal Family. The couple now live in California with Archie and their daughter, Princess Lilibet.
