Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly moving in different directions as they consider the next stages of their careers.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down as senior working royals in 2020 and later settled in California. While they initially pursued several projects together, royal author Andrew Lownie claims they are no longer as closely aligned as they once were.
Speaking to News24, Lownie alleged that the couple are “not getting on as well as they used to” and suggested that Harry feels he has been “played” by his wife.
According to the author, Meghan remains determined to achieve commercial success and is “hopeful that she can make lots of money.” Harry, meanwhile, has reportedly lost interest in that path and is more concerned with building a meaningful legacy.
“He wants to go back to his inheritance,” Lownie said, apparently referring to the Duke’s royal heritage and sense of identity.
Harry and Meghan left the UK with their son, Prince Archie, after stepping away from royal duties. They later discussed their experiences within the Royal Family during several televised interviews, including allegations that concerns were raised about their son’s skin color.
The Sussexes now live in California with Archie and their daughter, Princess Lilibet.
