Meghan Markle reportedly insists she did not share any private details about the family’s meeting with King Charles
Prince Harry has reportedly urged Meghan Markle to be more cautious following Martha Stewart’s remarks about a private dinner in California.
Stewart claimed she attended the gathering with Meghan shortly after the Duchess of Sussex returned from Europe, where she and Harry reportedly met King Charles. Her comments appeared to suggest that Meghan had discussed the family’s trip during the event.
However, Meghan’s representatives strongly denied the account. The dinner’s host also contacted People to describe Stewart’s version of events as “simply untrue.”
According to the host, Meghan did not reveal any private information and said only that “the family had a great time.” Stewart was reportedly described as “confused” about what had taken place.
Despite the denial, sources claim the episode has caused concern for Harry because he had assured his father and palace staff that both he and Meghan would keep details of their meeting completely private.
“He has given his father and everyone on the King’s staff these assurances that he and Meghan will both be total vaults, and then this comes out. It’s an absolute nightmare,” an insider claimed.
The Duke of Sussex has now reportedly suggested that Meghan avoid Hollywood parties for the time being to prevent another misunderstanding.
“Just to make sure nothing like this happens, because he feels they cannot afford any missteps and clearly nowhere is safe,” a source told the publication.
Meghan, however, is said to be adamant that she did not share anything private at the dinner or discuss the royal meeting at all.
Sources claim that while she firmly rejects the suggestion that she gossiped about the trip, the denial may not be enough to reverse the damage caused by Stewart’s remarks.
