Sarah Ferguson is reportedly preparing to return to the UK after spending several months away from the country amid renewed scrutiny of her past connection to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
According to reports, the 66-year-old is looking to rent a spacious six-bedroom property in the British countryside as she considers a return to public life.
News of her reported plans comes shortly after Prince Harry and his family were said to have moved back to the UK following several years in the United States.
Ferguson reportedly left Royal Lodge earlier this year alongside her former husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. The property had served as her main UK residence for many years, despite the former couple having divorced in 1996.
A source familiar with the situation claimed that Ferguson had been planning her return for some time. The insider suggested she may have hoped the media attention surrounding Harry and Meghan would allow her arrival to pass with less public scrutiny.
Ferguson has maintained a relatively low profile amid controversy surrounding her reported links to Epstein. Reports have claimed that she lost her Duchess of York title last year as scrutiny of the allegations intensified.
She has since made few public appearances, although she has occasionally been seen at private locations overseas.
Andrew, who was also stripped of his royal titles, reportedly remains under police investigation over his past associations with Epstein. He has consistently denied any wrongdoing.
