King Charles III is set to receive nearly £100 million to support his official duties and the work of the Royal Household.
According to the Mirror, the King will receive £99.9 million through the Sovereign Grant for 2027 to 2028.
The money will be used to cover royal expenses such as staff salaries, official travel and the upkeep of royal palaces that are currently in use.
The Sovereign Grant is linked to profits made by the Crown Estate, a large collection of land and property in the UK. Most of the profits from the estate go to the government.
Treasury minister Dan Tomlinson said the King had "significantly increased" the number of official engagements he carried out. The changes to royal funding were first raised in June.
King Charles continued to take on official duties while receiving treatment for cancer.
Buckingham Palace announced in February 2024 that the monarch had been diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer and was undergoing treatment.
