Meghan Markle is reportedly worried that returning to the UK may have been a mistake after King Charles clarified that she and Prince Harry are not working members of the Royal Family.
According to Heat World, Meghan was already nervous about moving back to Britain. Sources described the UK as a “lion’s den” for the Duchess because of her difficult experience living there in the past.
“As everyone knows, Meghan was incredibly unhappy the last time she lived in the UK,” an insider said. “So, of course, she’s terrified that she’s in for another round of agony.”
The source claimed that Harry and Meghan are currently dealing with moving boxes, negative headlines and a mixed response from the British public.
They are also reportedly uncertain about how their relationship with the Royal Family will develop.
“Meghan is understandably pretty anxious about that and already wondering if this was a mistake,” the insider added.
Her concerns have reportedly increased following King Charles’ statement that Harry and Meghan should not be considered working members of the Royal Family, despite their move back to Britain from the United States.
Previous reports claimed that the couple had been informally encouraged by the King to return to the UK. However, their return does not mean they have resumed their former royal duties.
