Meghan Markle will not join Prince Harry at the WellChild Awards in London on September 21. She is reportedly staying out of the public eye since the family returned to Britain.
Harry is scheduled to give a speech and present the Inspirational Child award for children aged four to six.
The couple reportedly returned to the UK with their children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five. Meghan has yet to make an official public appearance since their return.
Harry has been a patron of WellChild since 2007 and has attended 15 of its award ceremonies. Meghan joined him at the event in 2018 and 2019.
She also missed the Invictus Spirit Gala Dinner and Awards in London on September 17, described in the report as Harry’s first public event since the family returned.
According to People magazine, sources say Meghan is focused on helping Archie and Lilibet adjust to life in Britain.
The children have reportedly started school in the UK. The report says they changed schools after just two days because of security concerns and difficulties with the journey to and from school.
