Prince Harry contacts Princess Diana’s old friends for special project

Prince Harry has reportedly contacted some of Princess Diana's old friends in Britain as he plans a film about his late mother.

Royal expert Richard Kay claims Harry wants to make his own television film to mark the 30th anniversary of Diana’s death.

According to Kay, the Duke of Sussex started asking Diana’s friends and others who knew her to take part in the project.

“I am told that one of the reasons Harry is here is to make a television film about his mother,” Kay said.

He added that Harry has been contacting people who knew Diana and asking them to contribute. Kay believes the project will take up much of Harry’s attention over the next year.

The royal expert also discussed the different ways Harry and Prince William deal with their mother’s legacy. He said Diana was the mother of both brothers, but claimed Harry tried to connect himself more closely with her public image. According to Kay, this has caused frustration for William.

Kay further suggested that Harry may continue using his connection to Diana and the Spencer family to separate his identity from the House of Windsor.

He also spoke about Harry and his family reportedly spending time with Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, at Althorp House in July.
