Prince Philip was reportedly so angry about Prince Harry’s decision to step back from royal duties that he refused to see him.
The Duke of Edinburgh, who died in 2021, was said to be disappointed with Harry’s plans to leave the UK. Queen Elizabeth II, meanwhile, tried to find a way for Harry to remain part of royal life.
Philip reportedly stayed away from the Sandringham summit in 2020, where the family discussed Harry’s future.
According to the Express, royal author Andrew Morton said Philip was deeply upset that the family had reached a point where they were discussing a possible split.
Royal correspondent Emily Andrews also claimed Philip refused to attend because he was too angry to face his grandson. She said he believed Harry was walking away from his responsibilities.
