Sarah Ferguson is not writing a memoir about the royal family, her spokesperson has said.
“There have been no discussions, and she is not writing a personal memoir; it’s not what she’s going to do,” the spokesperson told The Independent.
The statement followed a report in The Sun that Ferguson was close to signing a multimillion-dollar book deal. The newspaper claimed the book would discuss her former husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, her past connection to Jeffrey Epstein, and her views on King Charles, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The denial comes as another book has brought renewed attention to the royal family. Charles Spencer, Princess Diana’s younger brother, published Swan Song: Diana, My Sister on Tuesday. In it, he writes about Diana’s life and her unhappy marriage to Charles. He also makes a claim about Charles’s reaction to Diana’s death in 1997.
