Queen Camilla is reportedly supporting King Charles as he tries to repair his relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
This support comes despite Camilla’s past tensions with Harry, who criticized her in his memoir, Spare, and in television interviews.
Royal experts have shared their views on why Camilla may be willing to support the reconciliation following Harry and Meghan’s reported return to Britain.
Speaking to Fox News Digital, royal expert Meredith Constant said Camilla has faced much greater challenges than the Sussexes’ departure from royal life in 2020 or Harry’s memoir.
According to Constant, Camilla knows when to remain quiet and avoid conflict. She believes the Queen will be polite and supportive as Charles works on his relationship with his younger son.
Another expert, Hilary Fordwich, discussed reports that Camilla smiled and offered tea to Harry and Meghan.
Fordwich said the gesture was polite but should not be seen as an invitation for the Sussexes to return as senior working royals.
She explained that offering tea is a traditional British gesture of courtesy. She added that Camilla is deeply concerned about the King’s health and well-being, so her support is not surprising.
Royal commentator Helena Chard also noted that Harry’s public comments may have hurt Camilla. However, she described the Queen as strong and said she remains a loyal partner to Charles.
According to Chard, Camilla’s main goal is to support the King during his treatment and help him enjoy peace, good health and happiness in the years ahead.
