Meghan Markle says 'It’s great to be back' during Nottingham visit with Prince Harry

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry appeared together in public on Thursday for the first time since returning to Britain.

The couple visited Nottingham, where they carried out their first joint official engagement in 2017, shortly after announcing their engagement.

They began at a recording studio run by a youth and community charity. The charity has received support from a £1.1 million donation Harry announced last year.

Their next planned stop was Himmah, a charity that helps people struggling to afford food. Meghan previously donated £10,000 to the group from sales of a cookbook that raised money after the Grenfell Tower fire in London.

The final stop was another charity that supports young people. Both Harry and Meghan have supported it before, and it was part of their 2017 visit.

According to Reuters, Meghan became emotional when a woman gave her a large bouquet of flowers and hugged her.

People reported that Meghan told a well-wisher, “It’s great to be back.”

Another supporter told the couple they had come to show their support and wanted Harry and Meghan to know they were loved.
