King Charles’s former butler says rebuilding family relationships will take time
Prince Harry has been urged to “take things slowly” after sharing his wish to repair his relationship with the Royal Family.
According to the report, Harry told GQ that he wants to rebuild his relationship with his father, King Charles, and his brother, Prince William.
He said that although some people do not want things to work out, he hopes they will. He added that making peace with his family is his main priority.
Grant Harrold, the King’s former butler, believes Harry should give the process time.
Harrold also thinks Harry and Meghan will spend Christmas in the United States, despite what the report describes as their recent move back to Britain.
He said their friends and Meghan’s family are in America, so it would make sense for them to celebrate there.
Harrold suggested the couple might attend a few events in the UK before spending Christmas Day in California. These were his predictions, rather than confirmed plans.
He added that while family relationships are reportedly improving in private, there is still a long way to go. In his view, they may not yet feel comfortable celebrating Christmas together.
Harrold said he hopes they can share the holiday next year. For now, his advice is to rebuild their relationships slowly.
