Prince Harry says sharing his experiences allows him to tell his side of events and gives others less control over how his life is presented.
Speaking to GQ, the Duke of Sussex said he has faced criticism for speaking publicly, while other people are free to share their versions of his story.
“Just by telling my own story, it takes away a lot of power from other people,” he said.
Meanwhile, reports claim Harry received $250,000 for a 45-minute MasterClass about grief. That amount has not been confirmed.
An unnamed source told royal commentator Rob Shuter that the alleged deal involved both making the class and helping to promote it. The source described Harry’s GQ interview as part of that promotion.
The source also claimed the arrangement gave both Harry and MasterClass publicity.
Other claims suggest Harry may receive a share of subscription income. However, this has not been verified, and the report does not establish whether he earns money from new subscribers.
