Prince Harry is said to be more understanding of Meghan Markle’s feelings amid claims that Princess Eugenie has stepped back from their friendship.
According to unnamed sources quoted by Heat World, Meghan has been feeling “lonely and isolated” following the couple’s reported return to Britain in July.
The report claimed that Eugenie and her older sister, Princess Beatrice, have grown distant from Harry and Meghan. Some sources alleged that the sisters are no longer in contact with the couple.
One insider suggested that Eugenie may be concerned about how her friendship with the Sussexes could affect her and her husband, Jack Brooksbank.
“The majority of the people in London’s high society set are team William,” the source claimed, suggesting that being seen as supporting Harry and Meghan could put Eugenie in a difficult position.
The insider said Harry and Meghan understand that the situation is complicated. Even so, they are reportedly finding it hard to accept the distance between them and Eugenie.
The source also claimed that Harry is upset and worried about how Meghan is coping.
“He’s also very sympathetic to Meghan, who’s feeling pretty lonely and isolated, so not having Eugenie there to guide her through this is hitting her hard,” the insider said.
According to the source, Meghan is “very disappointed right now and fearing the worst” about the friendship.
