Prince Harry has shared more about how long his family might stay in the UK. His comments suggest the visit could last a few months, but there is no firm end date.
In an interview with GQ, reportedly filmed in New York before the move, Harry was asked whether the decision was about leaving life in the US or missing the UK.
“It’s good to be outside of the US for the next few months, perhaps. Let things settle down for a bit and then we work it out from there,” he said.
The family’s stay had previously been described only as an “extended” visit. Harry’s comments give a clearer idea of the possible length, but they do not confirm how long Archie and Lilibet might attend school in Britain.
Harry also explained that he and Meghan made the decision quickly. While moving abroad often takes a lot of planning, he said their planning time was short.
After living in the US for six years and making only brief trips back to Britain, Harry wanted to spend time there with his whole family.
He said he wanted to show his children where he grew up and give them some of the positive experiences he had as a child. That helped him and Meghan decide it was a good time to go.
