Royal author Andrew Lownie believes the Royal Family will let Prince Harry face the consequences of his own actions.
Speaking to Times Radio, Lownie said Harry should not expect the family to welcome him back easily. He suggested they would let Harry make his own mistakes without stepping in. These comments reflect Lownie’s view, rather than a confirmed plan from King Charles.
Harry has previously said he wants to make peace with his family. In a 2023 ITV interview with Tom Bradby, he said he wanted to rebuild his relationships with his father and brother. However, he felt they had shown no willingness to do the same.
The report also discussed Meghan Markle’s difficult relationship with her father, Thomas Markle. It suggested that Charles could help by publicly supporting her and saying she should not be blamed for her father’s alleged actions.
The report claimed that unnamed sources close to the Palace said Charles had told his staff that Meghan was still family and should not be left without support during difficult times. It did not provide evidence to confirm this claim.
Harry and Meghan stepped back from their royal duties in 2020 and moved to California with their son, Archie. They later spoke on television about their problems with the Royal Family, including allegations of racism. Their daughter, Lilibet, was born after their move to the United States.
