A royal expert has warned that Prince Harry’s latest interview could make it harder for him to repair his relationship with King Charles and Prince William.
Speaking to GQ magazine, Harry said he wants to make peace with his father and brother.
However, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told Fox News Digital that discussing family problems in public could make the royals less willing to reconnect with him.
Fitzwilliams called this Harry’s “big mistake.” He argued that Harry’s public comments weaken his offer of peace and make it harder to rebuild trust. He also pointed to Harry and Meghan’s past public criticism of the royal family.
He added that interviews and comments from people described as friends could make reconciliation even more difficult.
In his GQ interview, Harry said some people do not want the family to make peace, but he does.
“With everything else that's going on in the world, the most important thing is to reconcile,” Harry said.
The father of Archie and Lilibet also spoke about moving forward. He said emotional scars can last forever, but people can change how they view painful experiences and work towards letting go of the past.
