King Charles reportedly upset over Prince William’s land sale decision

King Charles is reportedly upset by Prince William’s decision to sell parts of the Duchy of Cornwall estate in rural Devon.

Royal expert Rachel Sylvester shared the claim, quoting a friend of the King. The friend said Charles would never have made the same choice.

According to the report, William decided to sell the land to help tackle homelessness and climate change. He inherited the Duchy of Cornwall from his father in 2022, when Charles became King.

The decision has drawn criticism from some local residents.

In her report for The Observer, Sylvester quoted Mary Ryan, who lives in Bradninch. Ryan said William would never know what it feels like to reach the end of the month without enough money to pay his bills. She added that he would never have to worry about having a home.

A former royal aide described Charles as a traditional country landowner and William as someone more focused on city life.

The report also said some people in Bradninch believe William would oppose his father’s approach simply because he wants to do things differently.

In another social media post, Sylvester wrote that many people feel William cares more about poor people in cities than those in rural areas. She added: “It’s hypocrisy.”
