Amid the disturbing abuse allegations against Sean "Diddy" Combs by his
ex-girlfriend Cassie, resurfaced photos are causing concern among Cassie's
supporters.
The images depict Cassie with a bruised and cut face, supposedly following an ATV accident, and were originally shared on her Instagram account in October 2014. The singer, in the since-deleted post, captioned it with, "New #raybans [sunglasses emoji] on my way home #toomuchfun #Dubai."
Reports at the time suggested that Cassie had sustained the injuries during an
ATV accident in Dubai, where she was traveling with Diddy. However, in light
of recent abuse allegations, fans are speculating whether the ATV story was a
cover-up for a different, more troubling incident.
The resurfaced photos gain significance in the context of a lawsuit filed by
Cassie against Diddy. In court documents obtained by Page Six, Cassie, 37,
details allegations of repeated s-xual and physical abuse, including claims of
s-x trafficking, throughout their over-a-decade-long relationship that
concluded in 2018. Diddy, 54, vehemently denies these allegations, with his
attorney dismissing them as "offensive and outrageous" and suggesting an
attempt to "damage Mr. Combs’ reputation and [seek] a payday." The legal
battle has intensified, shedding light on the disturbing dynamics of their
past relationship.
