Queen Camilla’s Son Reveals She Might Be the ‘First Queen to Cook’

Monarch Resumes Royal Duties at Clarence House After Health Setback

Tom Parker Bowles, son of Queen Camilla, has shared a surprising insight into his mother’s life, claiming she could be the “first Queen to have cooked,” highlighting her impressive culinary talents.

The 49-year-old food critic noted that while Queen Camilla cooks less frequently these days, she was an excellent home chef who prepared meals for her children for over 20 years. “She’s very good at it,” Tom reflected, recalling her time in the kitchen.

He also praised King Charles for his dedication to supporting British agriculture. “The King is a true champion of British food,” Tom said. “He’s been advocating for heritage fruits, vegetables, and rare breeds for years. His knowledge when speaking to farmers is genuinely impressive.”

Tom shared that he maintains a close relationship with the royals, visiting his mother and King Charles regularly with his two children. In an interview with Discover Britain magazine, he revealed a unique perk of being the Queen’s son—a high-security card that grants him access to royal residences. “We pop in for a cup of tea, and for the kids, it feels entirely normal,” he explained.

Following a brief recovery from a chest infection that caused her to miss Remembrance events, Queen Camilla is set to return to her royal duties. The 77-year-old monarch will make her comeback by hosting a Booker Prize reception at Clarence House, marking her first public appearance since taking time off to rest.
