Prince Harry’s Former Charity Sentebale Hit by Fresh Resignation Amid Investigation

Trustee steps down as probe into bullying and mismanagement casts shadow over Diana-inspired foundation

Prince Harry’s former charity, Sentebale, continues to reel from mounting controversy as another key figure steps down amid an ongoing investigation into allegations of bullying, harassment, and corruption.

The Duke of Sussex and co-founder Prince Seeiso resigned from the organisation last month in what was described as a “heartbreaking” decision following a wave of trustee resignations. Now, newly appointed trustee Dr Margaret Ikpoh has also exited the charity just weeks after taking up the role.

Dr Ikpoh, a GP based in East Yorkshire, cited personal reasons for her abrupt departure, stating the timing of her appointment coincided with "unexpected sustained and intrusive media attention."

“This is a particularly difficult time to have joined the organisation,” a Sentebale spokesperson said. “She has chosen to step down out of respect for her family and other professional commitments, which we fully understand, respect and support.”

The charity added, “We deeply appreciate her interest in Sentebale over a long period of time and look forward to staying in touch.”

The turmoil follows Prince Harry’s dramatic exit and the public fallout with Sentebale’s chair, Dr Sophie Chandauka, who has accused the Duke of “bullying at scale” and pointed to broader governance issues within the organisation.

Founded by Harry in memory of his late mother, Princess Diana, Sentebale’s reputation is now under scrutiny as the UK’s Charity Commission investigates the serious claims. The probe comes at a time when the organisation’s leadership is already in flux, further complicating its future.
