King Charles earned widespread praise after his heartfelt efforts during a recent public outing, despite continuing cancer treatment.
The monarch attended the SouthWest London (SXSW London) festival in Shoreditch, East London — an event which, according to the Palace, “aims to serve as a platform to showcase the future of the creative industries, supporting emerging artists and innovative projects.”
Before departing, the King visited Old Spitalfields Market, where he met locals and spoke with stallholders during ‘Antiques Thursday’ — unfazed by the rain.
Holding his own umbrella, the King stood in puddles as he greeted members of the public, winning admiration online.
One fan wrote: “Was the King seriously standing in a puddle of rain to shake hands? Class act!”
Another added: “Oh Lord! I noticed just now! Wow — appreciated the sacrifice.”
