The response was immediate. According to Harry, William reacted with wide-eyed disbelief, reportedly exclaiming in astonishment. The surprise, however, was not due to disapproval—but fandom.
Much to Harry’s amazement, William and Catherine admitted they were devoted viewers of Suits, Meghan’s former legal drama series. “All this time I’d thought Willy and Kate might not welcome Meg into the family,” he wrote. “But now I had to worry about them hounding her for an autograph.”
