Prince William’s Solo Trip Leaves His Children Disappointed

Future King returns from Isles of Scilly with sweet treats for George, Charlotte, and Louis

Though burdened with royal responsibilities, Prince William continues to make family a top priority, even when his work requires solo travel that leaves his children disappointed.

During a recent visit to the Isles of Scilly—a beloved family holiday destination—William acknowledged that his solo trip without Catherine and their children had not gone unnoticed at home. The Prince of Wales, who now oversees the Duchy of Cornwall, shared that his children were “very upset” he had returned to their special spot alone.

“The children will kill me if I don’t go home later,” William reportedly joked during an earlier trip to the island, according to the Daily Mail. On that occasion, he picked up pastries from a local café, perhaps as a peace offering for George, Charlotte, and Louis.

Over the weekend, the future King visited the Isles once more, this time to highlight ongoing efforts to improve the lives of residents under his care. And, just like before, it’s likely he brought back a few treats to smooth things over at home.

Despite his growing list of duties, William remains a devoted father, making time for thoughtful gestures that keep his family at the heart of his royal role.
