Sarah Ferguson Shares Touching Video After Daughters Receive Royal Boost

Duchess of York supports children’s education amid Beatrice and Eugenie’s rising royal prospects

Sarah Ferguson released a heartfelt video from Peru just as her daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, received encouraging news about their future roles in the royal family.

The Duchess of York visited a school supported by Misión Huascarán, a Peruvian charity dedicated to helping rural communities. In the video, filmed high in the Andes, Sarah praised the work being done.

“I am at Misión Huascarán and it's incredible, this school,” she said. “I'm supporting this amazing lady Mariana and her team that started this 15 years ago. And look, they’ve made a library.”

She ended her message with a strong appeal: “Every child has the right to an education and to read.”

Sarah also shared a written message alongside the video, calling the library a “shining example” of the charity’s impact. “It isn’t simply a building; it’s a safe, inspiring space where children can dream, learn, and shape their futures,” she wrote.

Her post comes just days after royal commentator Ingrid Seward told Hello! magazine that Beatrice and Eugenie are expected to take on larger roles when Prince William becomes king.

“When William ascends the throne, Beatrice and Eugenie will be valuable assets, and I’m certain they will get involved with royal duties,” Seward said.

Sarah’s video reflects her ongoing commitment to children’s causes, while her daughters quietly earn recognition as future contributors to the monarchy.
