Lady Victoria Hervey claims Harry must mend ties with the King as William resists reunion
Lady Victoria Hervey, who briefly dated Prince Andrew in 1999, has taken a swipe at Meghan Markle and questioned the state of her marriage to Prince Harry. Speaking to the Daily Mail, Hervey admitted she was surprised their relationship had lasted, claiming it has only stayed intact because of their two children. She argued that Meghan uprooted Harry’s life in the UK only to return to her own roots in California.
Hervey said that any hope of the Duke of Sussex returning to royal life would depend on him proving he has changed. However, she added that Meghan is unlikely ever to be welcomed back into the royal fold.
She urged Harry to reconcile with King Charles III “as soon as possible,” warning that Prince William might soon block any path to reconciliation. Reports have suggested William considers the idea of their father meeting Harry to be “a terrible, terrible idea.” A friend told the The Daily Beast that while William respects the King’s authority, he has little interest in letting his brother return to the fold. That mistrust partly stems from Harry’s memoir Spare, which accused William of physically attacking him during an argument about Meghan.
Hervey echoed the view that Harry has “serious work” to do if he wants to regain William’s trust. Meanwhile, speculation about the Sussexes’ marriage continues. According to GB News, Harry has been quietly pursuing projects on his own, described by insiders as a kind of “professional divorce.” One source said this move isn’t about creating distance from Meghan but about giving her space to flourish while he focuses on new ventures of his own.
