The Duke of Sussex is said to have raised the matter in a private meeting with his father at Clarence House, with insiders claiming the conversation turned emotional.

According to reports, Harry asked the King to use his influence ahead of Donald Trump’s state visit. The Duke is said to be worried that Trump could take a hard line on his American residency because of drug use admissions in his memoir Spare. In the book, Harry openly discusses experimenting with cocaine, cannabis, and psychedelic mushrooms.
Under US immigration law, such revelations can pose risks to a visa holder, potentially leading to denial or even deportation. A royal insider suggested Harry pleaded with the King to secure some form of reassurance from Trump that his immigration status would not be jeopardised.
Mounting Pressure Before Trump’s Visit
Sources claim Harry, who now lives in Montecito with Meghan Markle and their two children, is “terrified” that the issue could resurface. “He went down on his knees during his recent tea meeting with the King, asking him to help protect his future in America,” one insider told RadarOnline.
The appeal reportedly came just days after Harry’s 54-minute reunion with the King, fuelling speculation that their private conversation went beyond family matters and touched on urgent personal concerns.
