Duke of Sussex accused of choosing publicity over reconciliation
Prince Harry has stirred fresh tensions within the royal family after making new remarks that appear to reignite his feud with Prince William, reportedly frustrating King Charles III, who had recently shown willingness to mend their strained relationship.
According to a royal insider, Harry’s latest comments have deepened William’s concerns, as they suggest the Duke of Sussex may be more focused on maintaining his public profile than on repairing ties with the family. “It seems Harry prefers to remain in the spotlight instead of repairing his fractured relationship with the royals, even after his father's bold move to offer him an olive branch,” the source said.
They added, “If Harry wants to bring his family back to the UK, he needs to stop reopening old wounds.”
Although Harry has expressed interest in reconciling, he has also made it clear it would be on his own terms. While speaking in Ukraine, he defended his decision to speak out about past issues, telling The Guardian: “It's not stubbornness, it is having principles. It was a series of corrections to stories already out there. One point of view had been put out and it needed to be corrected.
“You cannot have reconciliation before you have truth.”
Harry’s remarks have reportedly fuelled William’s doubts about trusting him again, with the future king believing his younger brother may be unable to resist sharing private matters with the media, even if he returns to the royal fold.
