The Prince of Wales features in new Apple TV+ series The Reluctant Traveler
Prince William has surprised royal watchers by making an appearance in Season 3 of Eugene Levy’s Apple TV+ travel series The Reluctant Traveler, which premieres September 19.
The cameo has drawn comparisons with his brother Harry, who made his Netflix debut in the 2022 docuseries Harry & Meghan. That show, filled with allegations against the royal family, deepened the rift between the two brothers and marked a turning point in Harry’s relationship with the monarchy.
According to Radar Online, William had long gone out of his way to support his younger brother, often putting himself in “uncomfortable positions” to make life easier for him. But the bond has been strained by Harry’s decision to step back from royal duties, move to the United States with Meghan Markle, and publish his memoir Spare, which included further criticisms of the family.
Now, with William stepping into the world of television himself, some wonder whether the brothers may be carving out similar paths in the public eye—though no collaboration between them is on the horizon.
In the promotional trailer, Levy is seen visiting Windsor Castle, describing the experience as “living the royal life in the United Kingdom.” The series teases a “very special guest” in the form of the Prince of Wales, adding star power to Levy’s “bucket list” journey.
This marks another media moment for William, who earlier this year appeared on Clarkson’s Farm. His latest appearance comes as he and Princess Catherine returned to public duties following a seven-week summer break, starting with a visit to the Natural History Museum.
