Kate Middleton’s Biographer Reveals Her Pain Over Harry and Meghan’s Exit

Royal author says the future Queen was deeply saddened by the way the couple left the UK

Catherine, the future Queen of England, is believed to have been deeply affected by the way Harry and Meghan Markle stepped away from royal life in the UK.

The couple’s departure has been widely discussed for years, but royal biographer Russell Myers has offered further insight into how it impacted those closest to them. Myers is the author of William & Catherine, the first official biography of the couple in decades.

Speaking about the situation, Myers suggested that the Sussexes’ decision and the way it unfolded came as a shock to many within the royal circle. According to him, the circumstances surrounding their exit created tension that may have been difficult to avoid.

He told Fox News Digital that the rift between Harry and Catherine was perhaps inevitable once the couple chose to take a different path away from royal duties.

From the Sussexes’ perspective, it is believed they wanted to leave the UK immediately. They reportedly feared the royal institution might try to prevent them from stepping back if they did not act quickly.

However, Myers said that the approach taken left some members of the family deeply hurt.

He explained that people he spoke to for the biography shared that both William and Catherine struggled with how the situation unfolded and the manner in which Harry and Meghan Markle left the family.

Despite the tensions, Myers noted that Catherine had always hoped the bond between the brothers would survive.

According to those close to the family, she often tried to play the role of mediator when disagreements arose between them. When emotions ran high, she reportedly encouraged both men to think about the long-term future of their relationship.

Even during the final days before the couple left the UK, there was said to be a sense of sadness surrounding their departure.

Harry was also encouraged by other family members to reconsider the decision and try to find a solution that might work for everyone involved.

For now, however, Myers suggested that talk of reconciliation may still be premature, as the effects of the split continue to linger within the family.
