Andrew’s former wife reportedly worries about money while staying with wealthy friends abroad
Sarah Ferguson has largely disappeared from public view since losing her royal titles and leaving Royal Lodge, and reports suggest she has been voicing concerns about her finances.
The former Duchess of York is said to be quietly staying with wealthy friends in several countries, including Dubai, Switzerland and Ireland, while keeping a low profile.
According to the Daily Mail, sources claim Ferguson has been privately expressing anxiety about how she will manage her current situation as scrutiny around her continues.
Ferguson and her former husband were stripped of their royal titles and honours and were also asked to vacate Royal Lodge following controversy over their past connections to Jeffrey Epstein.
A source told the outlet that Ferguson has been frequently discussing money worries, though some of her friends are uncertain about how serious the situation really is.
“She has been asking, ‘How am I going to get through this?’ She complains a lot about being broke – although I don't know if that is broke in the sense that you or I would understand it,” the insider reportedly said.
The source added that friends have even joked about how far the situation might go.
“They wouldn’t be surprised to find her selling some of her old handbags on Vinted,” the insider remarked.
