Princess of Wales said to favour a softer approach towards Sarah Ferguson
Kate Middleton has reportedly been quietly supporting Sarah Ferguson amid renewed scrutiny surrounding royal connections to the Epstein scandal.
According to reports, the Princess of Wales believes Sarah deserves more compassion despite ongoing tensions within royal circles.
Sources claimed Catherine’s approach is aimed at easing tensions and preventing further fallout, including concerns over possible tell-all revelations.
One insider alleged that while Catherine understands the need for some distance from Sarah, she disagrees with how the situation has reportedly been handled behind the scenes.
“Kate absolutely agrees that they do need to create distance and they need to be seen as cutting ties with her. What she doesn’t agree with is the harsh way it’s been done,” the source claimed.
The insider further alleged that Catherine believes Sarah should at least be given the opportunity to speak and maintain communication with members of the family.
“Kate doesn’t feel that’s the right way to handle this,” the source said.
“She believes Sarah deserves that bit of mercy, that they should take her calls and let her say her piece,” the confidant added.
According to the report, Catherine also reportedly feels that Prince Andrew has faced less criticism compared to Sarah despite the seriousness of the controversy surrounding him.
“It seems rather unjust to be so much harsher with Sarah who didn’t do anything even comparable to what Andrew got up to,” the source alleged.
The latest claims come after earlier reports suggested that Queen Camilla, once considered close to Sarah Ferguson, had allegedly blocked her phone number.
