Insiders claim Duke of Sussex is reshaping his public image through humanitarian work
Prince Harry is reportedly pursuing a new strategy aimed at rebuilding ties with King Charles III and improving his standing with the British public.
Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped down as senior working royals before relocating to the United States, where they now live with their children, Archie and Lilibet.
In recent months, however, the Duke of Sussex has increasingly re-entered public discussions in Britain through speeches, articles, and appearances connected to issues including Ukraine, antisemitism, environmental causes, and support for military veterans.
Reports also suggest Harry has quietly reopened communication channels with the Palace through aides, following a private meeting between representatives from both sides last year.
According to insiders quoted by Radar Online, some within royal circles believe Harry is attempting to reshape how he is viewed publicly.
“There is a growing feeling in Palace circles that Harry is attempting to reinvent himself as a serious global humanitarian figure rather than a celebrity prince living in California,” one source claimed.
The insider further alleged that critics see the move as a calculated effort to remind both the public and the King of Harry’s continuing connection to Britain.
“Critics see it as a very deliberate, and quite cynical, strategy designed to remind the British public – and his father – that he still carries influence and emotional ties to the UK despite everything that has happened,” the source added.
Another insider claimed that some figures close to the King remain sceptical about Harry’s intentions.
“Some people around the King view this as one sly ploy after another,” the source alleged.
“Every one of Harry's carefully timed articles, speeches, or interventions is seen by critics as part of a wider campaign to soften his image in Britain and edge himself back into public life without formally returning to royal duties,” the insider continued.
