Prince Andrew ‘Can Never Be Completely Ostracised’ From Royal Family

Royal commentator says family loyalty still exists despite public controversy

Prince Andrew is reportedly still struggling to fully accept his current position within the royal family following years of controversy and public scrutiny.

According to royal commentator Rafe Heydel-Mankoo, the disgraced royal will continue to receive care and support from relatives despite being removed from frontline royal duties.

Speaking to GB News, Heydel-Mankoo said the situation surrounding Andrew involves “family loyalty, public outrage, and the survival of the monarchy” all at once.

He explained that King Charles III and other members of the royal family still care about Andrew as a brother, uncle and relative, regardless of the damage caused to the monarchy’s image.

The commentator added that concerns over Andrew’s wellbeing and security are likely to remain important to the family, even as efforts continue to protect the institution itself.

Heydel-Mankoo also suggested Andrew still believes he is entitled to taxpayer-funded security and royal privileges, claiming the Duke of York does not fully understand why his public role has been dramatically reduced.

Although Andrew has largely disappeared from official royal life, commentators believe he is unlikely to be fully cut off because of longstanding family ties within the monarchy.
