Earl Spencer shares joyful statement after intimate wedding in the United States
Charles Spencer, the brother of Princess Diana, has married Cat Jarman in a private ceremony held in Arizona, USA.
The couple confirmed the happy news in a joint statement following their wedding celebration on Friday.
“We both feel so incredibly lucky to have progressed from being colleagues, to friendship, to deep love and connection,” they shared.
“Each stage of our relationship has been underpinned by laughter and we share a passion for life.”
The marriage marks another chapter for Earl Spencer, who publicly confirmed his relationship with Professor Jarman after the breakdown of his previous marriage.
The wedding news comes after Cat was involved in legal proceedings against Karen Spencer over claims that her private medical information, including her multiple sclerosis diagnosis, had been disclosed without consent.
At the time, a spokesperson for Countess Spencer said the matter had been resolved through an agreed settlement and stated there had been “no admission of liability or wrongdoing.”
The spokesperson also claimed Earl Spencer had been ordered to cover legal costs exceeding £2 million, along with £4,500 in damages awarded to Cat Jarman.
Neither side has commented further since the settlement was announced.
