Kate Middleton is reportedly concerned that the long-running rift between Prince William and Prince Harry is placing increasing pressure on her husband.
The Princess of Wales has often been described as an unofficial peacemaker between the brothers. However, sources now claim the situation has reached a point where her usual efforts are no longer helping.
According to a report by Heat, the dispute has continued for so long that Kate is struggling to find new ways to support William.
“It’s been more than six years of this now, and Kate admits she’s running out of ways to help,” a source claimed.
The insider added that Kate is “genuinely afraid” the ongoing stress and anger could affect William’s health, particularly because the family conflict is not the only responsibility weighing on him as the future king.
In the past, Kate was reportedly able to calm William and quickly improve his mood when something upset him. However, the source suggested that the subject of Harry is now far more difficult to address.
“She can usually get him back into a good mood fairly quickly when he’s got a bee in his bonnet, but not when it comes to Harry,” the insider said.
Kate is also said to approach the topic carefully, especially amid claims that William believes King Charles has been more supportive of Harry.
“That’s a topic she does tend to tiptoe around,” the source explained, adding that the situation has become even more sensitive because of “this added layer of Charles taking Harry’s side, or at least that is the way William sees it.”
The report further claimed that Kate is not the only person who avoids discussing Harry with William.
“Most people in his life avoid bringing Harry up because everyone knows how quickly William gets worked up, and no one wants to make things worse,” the insider concluded.
