Kate Middleton showed her support for Prince William as the couple attended an event connected to a cause close to the future king’s heart.
The Princess of Wales joined her husband at the Royal Charity Polo Cup, where William returned to the polo field to raise money for several organisations.
Kensington Palace shared photos and videos from the event on social media, writing: “Back on the polo field for the Royal Charity Polo Cup.”
The palace said the event marked 15 years of using sport to support charities making a lasting difference in the UK and around the world.
According to the statement, this year’s match raised more than £1 million for charities including Wales Air Ambulance, the Royal College of Paramedics and Shout.
Another post offered a behind-the-scenes look at William’s polo match and highlighted the money being raised for important causes.
Kate was seen supporting William throughout the event and joined him after the match.
Their joint appearance came on the same day that King Charles reportedly held a private meeting with his younger son, Prince Harry, daughter-in-law Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
The reported gathering was said to be the first time in several years that the King had hosted Harry and his family, amid efforts to improve strained family relations.
Prince William’s relationship with Harry has also remained tense in recent years. Harry discussed the breakdown of their bond in his memoir, Spare.
Reports have suggested that William had no plans to meet Harry during the Duke of Sussex’s visit to the UK with his family.
