Meghan Markle has shared a new collection of family photos from her summer holiday, including pictures believed to have been taken during a visit to Althorp House, the ancestral home of Princess Diana’s family.
The Duchess of Sussex posted the images on Instagram with the caption, “Summer Holiday.”
The photos prompted a response from royal biographer Angela Levin, a longtime critic of Meghan and Prince Harry.
Writing on X, formerly Twitter, Levin claimed that visiting Althorp was one of the main reasons behind the Sussexes’ reported trip to the United Kingdom.
“Going to Althorp was a key reason to come to the UK,” she wrote.
Levin also suggested that Harry wanted his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to visit the resting place of their grandmother, Princess Diana.
She went on to speculate that some of the photographs could be connected to a future documentary project involving Harry and Meghan.
“Harry wanted the children to see where Princess Diana lies,” Levin wrote. “Meghan has taken several pictures, no doubt for her and Harry’s planned documentary, believed to be about the end of Diana’s life.”
She also questioned how Charles Spencer, Diana’s brother and the owner of Althorp, might feel about the photographs being taken and shared.
According to reports, Meghan, Harry and their children stayed at the 13,000-acre Northamptonshire estate as guests of Charles Spencer during their visit to Britain.
The trip reportedly gave Archie and Lilibet the chance to spend time at a place closely connected to their late grandmother. Diana died in a car crash in Paris in 1997, when Harry was 12 years old.
The Sussex family is also believed to have spent time with other members of the Spencer family during their stay at Althorp.
