Prince Harry has reportedly urged Meghan Markle to change her approach following his recent meeting with King Charles, as the couple looks for a possible way to rebuild relations with the Royal Family.
According to a report by Heat World, Harry has warned Meghan that they may need to “swallow their pride” and follow the King’s conditions if they hope to receive another invitation or repair their strained relationship with senior royals.
A source claimed the couple had been “pretty humbled” by everything that had happened and now had little choice but to accept the monarch’s terms.
“As much as they don’t want to accept it, their only choice is to abide by the King’s terms if they want any hope of rebuilding the relationship,” the insider said.
The source added that Harry had told Meghan they needed to step back and “stop playing hardball,” as the opportunity to reconnect with the Royal Family might not come again.
“He knows they simply can’t afford to get this wrong,” the insider claimed.
Harry is also said to have told Meghan that they must follow the instructions of Charles and his aides and demonstrate that they can be trusted.
The report further alleged that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have limited options, particularly because of concerns surrounding their financial position.
Neither Harry, Meghan nor Buckingham Palace has publicly confirmed the claims made in the report.
