Prince William is reportedly upset with his estranged brother, Prince Harry, and sister-in-law Meghan Markle over their decision not to bring Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet to the UK.
According to Heat World, the decision by the California-based couple has also left King Charles disappointed, as he had reportedly hoped to spend time with his grandchildren.
The report claims that the Prince of Wales feels deeply concerned for his father and is frustrated by the possibility that the King’s hopes of seeing Archie and Lilibet may have been dashed.
“William, 44, is believed to remain ‘furious’ at Harry and Meghan,” an insider claimed, adding that despite reports suggesting he may avoid future family gatherings at Sandringham, the future king feels “immense torment” over the situation involving his father.
Prince William is also reportedly convinced that Meghan played a role in Harry’s decision to change the plans for his UK visit.
Earlier reports had suggested that Harry could reunite with King Charles and might be joined by Meghan and their children. However, the Duke of Sussex ultimately travelled to Britain alone before returning home.
Harry had reportedly hoped that Archie and Lilibet would have an opportunity to spend time with their grandfather, while King Charles was also said to be looking forward to seeing them.
Commenting on William’s alleged reaction, the insider claimed: “He doesn’t believe for one second that this wasn’t done with some sort of ulterior motive, and he’s convinced Meghan is the one pulling the strings.”
Neither Prince William nor the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has publicly commented on the claims.
