Prince William is reportedly still struggling to rebuild trust with Prince Harry as the brothers remain estranged, according to royal commentators.
The Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex are not expected to meet during Harry's latest visit to the UK, with experts suggesting the relationship between the brothers remains deeply fractured.
Speaking to The Mirror, royal expert Duncan Larcombe claimed Prince Harry is "almost certainly" unlikely to see either Prince William or Princess Catherine during his trip.
Larcombe also said William continues to feel deeply hurt by the events of recent years, particularly the claims made by Harry in his memoir, Spare. According to the commentator, the Prince of Wales views his brother's public disclosures as a serious breach of trust.
Royal expert Jennie Bond echoed similar sentiments, saying trust remains the biggest obstacle to any reconciliation between the brothers.
"Trust is still a major issue for William, who is a very private man," Bond said. She added that the Prince of Wales is also fiercely protective of his wife, Princess Catherine, and believes the criticism and allegations directed at her by the Sussexes have made forgiveness especially difficult.
Bond suggested she is uncertain whether William will ever be able to fully move past the public disagreements that have unfolded since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped back from royal duties in 2020.
While speculation continues over the state of their relationship, neither Prince William nor Prince Harry has publicly commented on the latest claims regarding a possible reconciliation.
