Sarah Ferguson has reportedly been trying to reconnect with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle through her daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
According to sources quoted by Closer, the former Duchess of York has been sending messages to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for some time in the hope of rebuilding a relationship with them.
“Sarah has been trying to chip away at Harry’s resistance because she would dearly love to see him and Meghan again,” an insider claimed.
The source added that Ferguson insists her efforts are not motivated by a desire to gain sympathy. Instead, she reportedly believes a friendship could benefit both sides.
According to the report, Sarah feels that she and the Sussexes have all experienced difficult treatment from members of the royal establishment. She is said to believe they could support one another or at least form a closer friendship because of their shared experiences.
However, Harry and Meghan are reportedly hesitant about becoming closely associated with Ferguson. Sources claimed the couple are concerned that such a relationship could bring further public scrutiny and create risks for their reputation.
The Sussexes are said to be especially cautious because of the controversy surrounding Ferguson’s past association with Jeffrey Epstein. Neither Harry nor Meghan has publicly commented on the reported outreach.
Despite the alleged tension, Ferguson has previously spoken positively about Meghan, describing her as “modern and fabulous.”
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have maintained a close relationship with their cousin Prince Harry, which may explain why Sarah is reportedly using them to pass along her messages.
